Nicole Whitmire has been part of the Big 33 family for 21 years, currently serving as the Director of the Big 33 Football Classic. A graduate of Red Land High School, she was a scholar athlete and participated in tennis, soccer, track and the drum line. Nicole went on to attend Slippery Rock University, where she majored in Sport Management. While at Slippery Rock, she played tennis for four years, serving as team captain and holding the #1 singles and doubles positions for three of those years. She also spent five years as the Varsity Girls Tennis Coach at Cedar Cliff High School from 2000 to 2004.
Nicole lives in Boiling Springs with her husband, Shawn, their three children – Tyler, McKinlee, and Isaiah – and their dog, Buster. Her connection to the Big 33 runs deep; she grew up around the organization, often spending summers at practices with her father before officially joining as an intern and later becoming a key part of the leadership team.
What Nicole loves most about her role is the way the Big 33 brings together people from all walks of life to create lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. She is inspired by how the community rallies around such a meaningful and inclusive event, and she also values the emphasis the Big 33 places on community involvement and giving back, instilling these important lessons in its athletes and participants.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, supporting her children’s sports and activities. She’s especially excited about the continued growth of the Big 33, with expanding programs like the Girls Flag Tournament, the Buddy Program, and other community outreach initiatives that create new opportunities for so many individuals.
