Ron Johnson, a native of York, Pennsylvania, attended York Catholic High School, where he excelled in football, basketball, and track. He went on to play football at Shippensburg University, where he was a star athlete, earning recognition for his exceptional performance. Following college, Ron had a two-year career in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Ron has been involved with the Big 33 for 7 years and currently serves as the Girls Flag Football Tournament Coordinator. In addition, he serves as Executive Director of the Rising Stars Football Academy Foundation, a role he has held for 18 years, and he also has coached at Red Lion High School for 14 years.
Ron and his wife, Doralisa Cruz Johnson, have three children: Tyler, Vienna, and Iolana. He loves helping student-athletes succeed on and off the field and is passionate about the growth of the Girls Flag Football All-Star Game and Tournament.
Outside of football, Ron enjoys DJing and traveling. He is energized by the continued expansion and impact of Girls Flag Football, helping provide more opportunities for young athletes.
