The Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) is excited to announce that we are opening membership to girls flag football coaches across Pennsylvania.
With nearly 200 Pennsylvania schools now sanctioning girls flag football for the spring season, the growth of the sport has been remarkable. As girls flag continues to establish itself as an important part of Pennsylvania high school athletics, we believe the time is right for the PSFCA to expand its membership and formally welcome the coaches who are helping build this exciting new sport.
Girls flag football deserves a voice – and that voice should include the coaches who are on the field every day.
By becoming a member of the PSFCA, girls flag football coaches will have an opportunity to connect, collaborate, share ideas, and help shape the future of the sport in Pennsylvania. As the game continues to develop, there will be important conversations surrounding coaching, competition, player development, officiating, scheduling, education, and the overall growth of girls flag football. We want girls flag coaches to be part of those conversations and have a seat at the table.
The PSFCA has a long history of bringing coaches together to strengthen football across Pennsylvania. We believe that same spirit of collaboration can help girls flag football grow in a way that benefits coaches, student-athletes, schools, and communities throughout the Commonwealth.

Every PSFCA membership includes a $1 million liability insurance policy, providing an important benefit and added protection for coaches.
Annual PSFCA Coaches Clinic
Membership also provides coaches with the opportunity to attend the annual PSFCA Coaches Clinic each February. As girls flag football continues to grow, we want the clinic to become a place where flag coaches can learn from one another, connect with other coaches, and gain valuable insight from experienced voices in the sport. In fact, at this year’s clinic, we plan to dedicate one speaker room during each session specifically to girls flag football, featuring a girls flag speaker, presentation, or forum. Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for coaches to share experiences, discuss challenges, exchange ideas, and help influence the direction of the sport.
