Team PA Big 33 Roster and Cheer Squad Announcement Set For February 21

Pennsylvania’s 38-member Big 33 team will be announced during a press conference for the 67th Football Classic. The Team Announcement and Roster Release video will be shared on Wednesday, February 21 at Cumberland Valley High School’s Indoor Turf at the District Support Facility at 10:30 a.m. Information will also be posted at by Noon, along with the PA and MD Cheer Squads.

Please park in STAFF designated parking spaces – PLEASE DO NOT park in any numbered spaces, as school is in session and the spots are reserved for students. Overflow parking will be available at the District Office (building along Carlisle Pike nearest main traffic light) lot.

The Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association’s (PSFCA) 67th Big 33 Football Classic presented by Renewal by Andersen of Central PA will be played on Sunday, May 26 at Cumberland Valley High School’s Chapman Field in Cumberland County, Pa. Kickoff is 7:00 p.m.

Under the leadership of the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association, Cumberland County, the Commonwealth of PA and various sponsors are partnering to support the PSFCA Big 33 Football Classic presented by Renewal by Andersen. This exciting football match up has been described as the “Super Bowl of High School Football,” and has chosen a team since 1957.

In addition to the Big 33 Football Classic, rosters for the Titan Threadz PSFCA East/West All-Star games will be announced on the PSFCA website in late February/Early March. Games to take place on Sunday, May 19 (1-3A Small Schools Noon / 4-6A Big Schools 5:00 p.m.)

We hope sports fans of all ages join us for a weekend filled with, military recognition, spectacular football, family events and more,” said Garry Cathell, Executive Director of PSFCA and the Big 33 Football Classic.

Some well-known Big 33 alumni and NFL greats include: Joe Namath, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Ricky Waters, Ben Roethlisberger, Kyle Brady, Jordan Hill, and Damar Hamlin. The Big 33 Buddy Program is designed to partner youth with special needs with a Big 33 cheerleader or football player. Cheer buddies participate in the halftime routine. All buddies enjoy time with their players and cheerleaders during Big 33 weekend and participate in year-round special Buddy events, thanks to UPMC.
