PA Big 33 Practice

Pennsylvania’s Big 33 team gathered at State College Area High’s athletic field Saturday to begin practices for the annual all-star game vs. a squad from Maryland. We were on hand to cover the opening practice, which featured multiple Penn State themes.

Three soon-to-be Nittany Lions took part in the workout — scholarship signee Joey Porter Jr., and walk-ons Anthony DaSilva and Dalton Daddona. (Scholarship signee Daequan Hardy had a track commitment and could not make it, but is slated to be there Sunday.)

Penn State legacy tight end Hayden Rucci — who will be playing his college ball at Wisconsin — was also involved. Former Nittany Lions Bruce Clark and Adam Breneman were at the facility, too.

Notable players without PSU ties at the practice included Baylor signee Yusuf Terry and Boston College signee Patrick Garwo.

As was noted above, we were there to capture images of the opening practice. Check out our gallery below.

The 2019 Big 33 Classic is slated for May 27 at Landis Field in Harrisburg, Pa. The game between the Pennsylvania and Maryland standouts kicks off at 12:30 p.m.
